Smith&Wesson factory 12 round 9mm M&P9 Compact magazine with the black finger grip base.

Another option for the M&P Compact is to use the set up below.  If you want to get the larger capacity of the full sized magazines and or to increase the size of the grip to  that of the full sized M&P.

Now you can use the full sized M&P magazines in the M&P Compact giving you 5 more rounds of capacity.  Below is some information on the X-Grip and I have more information in the X-Grip section.

The patent pending XGRIP adapts the full-size M&P 15 or 17 round magazines for use in the compact pistol, incorporating the larger magazine into the compact's grip, increasing the capacity by 5 additional rounds of ammunition. Law enforcement and military personnel can carry the compact with a standard magazine when concealment is important, then insert the high capacity magazine with XGRIP when firepower and capacity become critical.
