SIG SAUER P228/P229/M11
The patented XGRIP P228/P229/M11 offered by FDI is a factory OEM accessory
for SIG SAUER that enhances the versatility, look and feel of the gun. The P228/P229/M11 X-Grip now comes with a metal base plate, no modification are needed to the base plate. They can be used on the Sig Sauer German or the new Mec-Gar made factory 15 round P226 9mm magazines as well as the Mec-Gar 17 round P226 9mm magazine. However this X-Grip does not fit the newer Sig factory or Mec-Gar P226 9mm 18 round magazines, it leaves about a 2mm gap between the grip and the XGrip Adapter. A version for those is in the works so that will eliminate the gap between the XGrip and the pistol grip. These are only good for the P228 or P229 9mm with the narrow magazines they aren't for the P229 in .40 S&W or .357 Sig or the new P229-1. Those magazines are wider in the base.

Versatility:
Size of a Compact, Capacity of a Full-Size
The patented XGRIP P228,P229,M11 adapts the high capacity SIG P226 magazine for use in the P228,P229,M11 pistols, incorporating the larger magazine into the compact pistol's grip, increasing the gun's capacity to 15 or 17 rounds. Law enforcement and military personnel can carry the P228,P229,M11 with a standard magazine when concealment is important, then insert the high capacity P226 magazine with XGRIP when firepower and capacity become critical.

The XGRIP has been designed to flow seamlessly into the design of the handgun itself, reinforcing the aesthetics of the classic SIGSAUER look. Its unique design is based on the anthropometrics of the hand and wrist and results in significantly improved comfort, control and accuracy.
Ease of Use, Safety and Compatibility
The XGRIP slides over the P226 magazine and snaps into place over the floorplate. No tools are required. Once installed, the XGRIP provides a protective cushion around the floorplate. Compatible with SIG SAUER factory original German manufactured P226 magazines with 43mm floorplates and with the newly redesigned Sig factory magazine or Mec-Gar 17 round P226 magazine with the longer protruding metal floorplate. The XGS228 XGRIP adapter now comes standard with the proper sized floorplate good on either style magazine. Just swap out the floorplate with the new XGRIP floorplate provided and install the XGRIP. Our unique XGRIP will eliminate the sharp edge of the metal floorplate holder and enhances the finger rest posture.
