On the 1911 Government grip screw hole spacing is 3 1/16" and on the 1911 Officers the grip screw spacing is 2 11/16".

The Colt Government model is known by many names and is copied by many other manufacturers.
It is a Semi Automatic pistol with a single stack magazine, made since 1911. Available primarily in .45 Caliber it is also available in .38 super, 40 S&W, 9mm Para, .22LR and probably many more.
As a general rule our panel style grips fit all of the clones made by the other manufacturers.
You use the stock screws to install our grips, We also sell replacement screws for the 1911. They are available slotted or hex head in Black or Satin SS finish. We also have bushings available in Black or Satin SS finish.
We have thin screws and Bushings for use with thin grip panels. They are available in Black or Satin SS finish.
Grip screws should be torqued to 12 inch lbs. Blue Loctite is suggested on the threads. A quality correct fitting 3/32 hex / Allen or slot driver is a must!
Hogue Extreme grips come in both thick and thin models. The thin grips require the use of short bushings and screws. The thick grips use standard length bushings and screws.
Extreme Aluminum and G-10 1911 panels come ambi cut.
All current G-10 and Wood production (12-12-17) with S.A. MAG are also TECHWELL
Our grips may not clear some extended slide release levers or the magazine release on left side. The customer may have to relieve the grip to fit.
Extended Ambidextrous Safety levers may not clear the grip on the right side and will require some material relieved for the safety to go down all the way.
Taurus 1911 pistol. Stock grip screw heads are too large. Screws must be exchanged for standard Colt dimensions. Grips must be relieved for extended safety lever to assure full travel.
Our grips will not fit the Sig 1911-22 without the customer modifying the ambi safety pocket. The ambi safety on the Sig 1911-22 is much bigger than the standard ambi safety.
