Armscor Rock Island Armory 1911 A2 or Para Ordnance P18 17 Round 9mm Armscor / ACT-MAG 91718

The Armscor Rock Island Armory 1911 A2 Para Ordnance P18 17-round 9mm magazine (Armscor / ACT-MAG 91718) is designed specifically for 9mm and may not function properly with .22 TCM ammunition.

For those using .22 TCM, the recommended options are the Armscor 54180 or 54180B magazines. These models feature modified feed lips designed to accommodate both 9mm and .22 TCM cartridges.

According to Armscor, the 91718 magazine is compatible with newer production 1911 A2 pistols, whether or not they include an extended magwell. However, it may not seat properly in older models without an extended magwell due to the thicker polymer base plate.

For older pistols without an extended magwell, better options include:

• Mec-Gar magazines (models MGP183817B or MGP183817N) — 9mm only
• Armscor factory magazine 54180 — compatible with both 9mm and .22 TCM, featuring a metal base plate for improved fit.
