Metal base plate for the Mec-Gar CZ 75B 16 round and CZ 75 Compact 14 round. Also fits CZ factory 16-round CZ 75B, CZ 75 Compact 14 round, and CZ factory CZ 75 .40 S&W 10-round magazines with the thin metal base plate. This base plate only fits the magazines that have the thin metal base plate. They are similar to CZ factory part number 0420177012.

They will not fit the new style CZ P-01 factory 15-round or 10-round magazines with the polymer base plate. They also don't fit the CZ Shadow 2 or CZ SP-01 magazines with the polymer base plate. The polymer locking plate/magazine insert on those magazines will not align with the hole on the metal base plate. To align with the hole in the metal base plate, one would need to use the metal locking plate/magazine insert Mec-Gar P76011-BL / CZ 0420076002. Also, if they are used on the magazine with the polymer base plate, there will be a larger gap between the grip and the base plate. The thicker polymer base plate fills in that gap.

Note the picture shows the top and bottom of the base plates. These are sold individually. They are not sold in sets of two.

Some customers prefer a flush-fitting 14-round magazine for the CZ Compact. By installing the Mec-Gar F7240-BL metal base plate on a 14-round CZ Rami magazine, you can create a flush-fitting magazine for the CZ Compact, CZ P-01, or CZ Shadow 2 Carry.

The original CZ Rami locking plate has a longer retaining peg that extends slightly farther through the metal base plate than intended. While this does not affect function, some users prefer a cleaner fit and appearance.

For the best results, we recommend replacing the original locking plate with the Mec-Gar P76011-BL locking plate, which is the same part used in the CZ 75B 16-round magazine.

Another option is to purchase the Mec-Gar MGCZ7516B/0430177001 magazine kit along with a 14-round CZ Rami magazine (Part No. 11752).

To create a flush-fitting 14-round CZ Compact magazine, install the metal base plate and locking plate from the CZ 75B 16-round magazine onto the CZ Rami magazine (11752).

The original CZ Rami locking plate should then be installed on the CZ 75B 16-round magazine along with the CZ SP-01 base pad (Part No. 0430177001).

This configuration gives you two complete magazines:

• A flush-fitting 14-round CZ Compact magazine with a metal base plate.
• An extended 16-round CZ Compact magazine with the CZ SP-01 base pad.

Using this combination ensures that each magazine has the correct locking plate for its respective configuration, providing the proper fit and function for both magazines.
